We first met Dr. Tina Bennett Burton when she was running to be our City Councilwoman in 2022. I kept talking to her further at several campaign events and realized the depth of her dedication to transparency and responsibility to her constituents. When I realized that this hard-working woman was exactly what was needed to improve our city, I volunteered to Campaign for her. She visited every single house in her district multiple times. Not one time did we ever discuss party affiliation or politics. She was so driven to make sure everyone in her district would know that they would have a voice through her and that she would dedicate herself to improving problems in our city government. When her term ended, I felt such a loss of representation and I am thrilled that she is able to run for District 2 due to the redistricting. She has responded to every email of mine promptly and has always been available for discussion if we were concerned about an issue in Farmers Branch. She has our complete and wholehearted endorsement for City Councilwoman of District two in Farmers Branch.
Sincerely,
Sincerely,
Ellen and Frank Theilen
As a Retired Police Detective (27 years), I feel it's important to have a group of candidates on City Council that can bring positive ideas and solutions to the community to move the city in the right direction. I never expect all Council Members to agree 100 percent on all issues. However, I do expect the city council to do what is in the BEST interest of the residents in which they represent! Tina Bennett-Burton represented our district in the past and was proactive on issues within our area. Tina has proven herself to our district and the City of Farmers Branch that she represents the residents of the community. This is what I look for in a person wanting to run for Council, someone that listens to the residents and fights for the people they represent. With that said, I feel Tina Bennett-Burton is the person that will do what's best for the City and the residents she represents.

We were privileged to live in District 3 when Tina was a council woman. She was open-minded and easy to talk to about issues. She does her research and questions to further her understanding. She listens to her constituents and votes with them in mind.

Tina is the fighter the residents of Farmers Branch need in our city government. When she was my councilwoman, she asked the tough questions, listened to concerns, and fought to make our community the best it could be. I know she will continue to fight for our families and our city. I am honored to endorse Tina for City Council.

My Support for Tina Bennett,
I have lived in Farmers Branch since 1998 and my wife grew up here so we have long known of this special community and love it here. Back in November 2022 we had the pleasure of meeting Tina when she was canvasing District 3 with her husband. Since then I have found her friendliness, her intelligence, and her passion for the citizens of Farmers Branch to be an excellent combination to have on our City Council. Getting accountability from our City staff is why we have a City Council. When I look for who to support for Council, I'm looking for who can be the most effective in pushing staff and contractors to do their best, and be accountable to what they have committed to doing. Tina supported reviews of contracts with suppliers and contractors and developers by the City Attorney, and for new contracts to always include deadlines and claw backs in case of performance or fulfillment issues. She pushed for first responders to have better technology and cameras, for more school resource officers. When young families asked for a better splash pad in Squire Park, she responded. She advocated for grant monies to be sought after to align with the City's own outlays for projects. These are just a few of what she was able to accomplish and advocate for, in just 2 short years on Council. I believe Tina's knowledge, passion and intelligence allow her to look at problems in effective ways. She has shown me her ability to look beyond past old local political alignments and to approach problems with a fresh look. She drives toward doing what is right for our citizens. She is the consummate advocate for the citizens, willing to dig deeply on important issues to get to the heart of the matter.

To My Neighbors in Farmers Branch District 2
I am so excited that Tina Bennent-Burton is running for the City Council District 2 Councilwoman. I reside in District 5 and came to know Tina over the past 5 years or so. I first contacted Tina as she was referred to me regarding an issue our neighborhood was having with the city. I absolutely began a journey the evening we first spoke. Councilwoman Bennett-Burton informed, encouraged and made herself available to guide me in to the politics of our city in the park. As I have watched her at study sessions, council meetings, and activities across the city, she has always proudly represented Farmers Branch. Tina shows up ready and well informed, check out the reading materials required for each council meeting, I have admired Tina’s ability to state her opinion and be open to other councilpersons’ thoughts. Please consider the great advantages the Councilwoman will bring to your district and our city:
Recent Experience as a previous councilwoman Knows how the Council works within its’ responsibilities and what is that of Farmers Branch City staff Available to YOU her constituents as well as anyone in the city that might need mentorship in other parts of city. Trust me I have learned so much! Has been through the budgeting process which is a learning curve in and of itself. Loves the City of Farmers Branch and all its nuisance! Continuity with current Council – her previous term was disrupted by redistricting.
VOTE TINA BENNETT-BURTON FOR DISTRICT 2 CITY COUNCIL in NOVEMBER!

As a former District 3 resident and now a District 4 resident, I wholeheartedly support, welcome, and will even aid in campaigning to get Tina Bennett-Burton as my city council representative. She is earnest, caring, and dedicated, and I have personally observed her dedication and work as a council member. When the district changes were made, I was very disappointed to lose her as my councilwoman.
Let's get her back on the council.
She believes, as I do, that Farmers Branch is not a "city" per se, but a community of many ethnicities who come together and care about their neighbors and their town. Let's get her back on duty come November.

In Farmers Branch, we need council representation that truly embodies our community values and prioritizes fiscal responsibility. Tina Bennett-Burton has consistently demonstrated these qualities during her tenure representing District 3 on the council.
As a dedicated small business owner, Tina understands the importance of fiscal prudence. Her advocacy for our city residents is unwavering, and her efforts during her campaign for the District 3 council were nothing short of tireless. I personally witnessed her knocking on doors and engaging sincerely with residents about their concerns.
Tina's approachability and accessibility are remarkable. She has a deep understanding of city government workings and has consistently stood up for what is in the best interest of Farmers Branch residents.

I have spoken with Tina Bennett-Burton when she was a Farmers Branch City Council member. From my experience, she is a rare elected official—she asks her voters to share their opinions on issues, then listens to those voters so she can represent them as their Farmers Branch City Council Member. Additionally, Tina does the hard and necessary research on the issues facing our city. Doing research takes a lot of time! Tina spends this research time while also working full-time at her business.
I hope you vote for Tina to be your City Council member.
Sincerely,
I hope you vote for Tina to be your City Council member.

As a long-term resident of Farmers Branch with a daughter and grandson also living here, I want a councilperson who loves this community and works to make it a city that will not only thrive now but also be vibrant for future generations. Tina is that person.
Younger adults with children, those without children, and seniors like myself—we each have different preferences for services and establishments within the city. However, we all want the city to be financially prudent. We want a safe city. We want access to a variety of amenities. We want a city that makes us proud to say we live here. Tina embraces the wonderful diversity in our city, sincerely values each person, and will work to make Farmers Branch a vibrant city for all.
Tina worked diligently to serve her district and the city when she was the Councilwoman for District 3. I greatly appreciated her frequent communications and requests for feedback from her constituents. Even though I wasn't in her district, she accepted my request to receive her newsletters, which kept me informed of recent decisions and upcoming topics.
Many candidates say during their campaigns that they will serve all residents, but Tina actually demonstrated this through her actions and performance during her term. I know she'll do the same as Councilwoman for District 2. Watching council meetings during her previous term, I always felt that Tina's vote on each topic was based on thorough research, input from residents, and meetings with relevant parties. She was always well-prepared, fearless, assertive, respectful, and a true advocate for all residents of Farmers Branch. Due to redistricting, she is now in District 2, and I enthusiastically endorse her for council.
